A Funded Grant - How to Proceed
The project director is responsible for administering an approved proposal. The project director is also accountable for complying with the goals, objectives and budget as submitted in the grant. A grant proposal becomes a contract once funding is approved and accepted by Graceland University. The project must be carried out exactly as submitted, unless written permission to the contrary is obtained from the funding agency and college administration. The project director will notify their vice provost or vice president of any changes in grant procedures. All grant money will go directly to the director of accounting services office and be distributed according to the grant regulations and Graceland University policy. The accounting office will assume responsibility for accounting reporting and the project director will assume responsibility for reporting the progress of program goals to the funding agency.A thank you letter, signed by the president, will be sent to foundations that fund projects. The evaluation team, appointed through the grant applications process, will conduct a summative evaluation at the end of each academic year. The annual report of the program evaluation will be prepared by the project director, approved by the evaluation team, and sent to the funding agency.
