The procuring of grants for Graceland University is an important element of financing for the outstanding curricula, programs and facilities for our increasingly complex institution. Innovative programs at Graceland benefit the students, faculty and staff in a variety of ways. Creative faculty and administrators have designed programs that obtain needed equipment while educating students and enhancing their professional life.The grants office has been responsible for bringing in an average of over $1 million annually in program money to the university in recent years. Many faculty and administrators were instrumental in making this happen. Graceland uses a team approach to grant applications. This synergy to the process creates enthusiasm and support for the proposed new program. This has proven to be a very effective procedure at Graceland. The univeristy is becoming increasingly well known in granting circles, particularly with the Department of Education in Washington, D.C. Graceland has received grants givin to only a very elite group of colleges and universities.
