Summer Component

Summer Component
The six-week summer component offers a combination of academic, social, cultural and recreational activities to participants in a residential setting at Graceland University. Students arrive on Sunday evenings and return home each Friday afternoon. Days are spent attending academic classes and small group sessions designed to increase students skills and competencies. Classes in math, science, English and Spanish are required of all students and are supplemented by a wide variety of elective courses. Career counseling focuses on the development of a realistic career plan and the acquisition of the knowledge and personal skills needed to attain individual goals. Evening activities include participation in social, cultural and recreational activities. The summer component concludes with an enrichment trip to a major metropolitan city in the Midwest.
