Academic Year

During the school year, participants are involved in two types of required activities; Advisor Sessions and Saturday Sessions. Advisors are high school guidance counselors who meet weekly with students in the target schools. The goal of each of these sessions is to provide ongoing academic support and other individualized services that will help participants take the steps necessary to prepare for postsecondary study. Saturday sessions will be held at least six times during the academic year. These meetings allow students to become involved in a variety of academic support, leadership development, cultural enrichment and college exploration.
