The goal for the Educational Talent Search program is to provide youth and young adults with the skills and motivation needed to be successful in middle school, graduate from high school and enroll in a post- secondary education program.
Educational Talent Search (ETS) is a program funded by a grant from the United States Department of Education. ETS activities are designed to encourage participants to make positive school and career decisions that include completing high school, attending college or other post-secondary education programs, and planning for a successful future. The emphasis is to provide educational activities which will promote success in school and life.

Educational Talent Search, with Upward Bound and Student Support Services, are part of the federal TRIO Programs. Others TRIO Programs include Upward Bound Math-Science, Veteran's Upward Bound, Educational Opportunity Centers, and Ronald E. McNair Scholars.
