POLICY:
Any student requesting special needs housing (i.e. private room, air-conditioning) due to a medical condition must provide documentation from a physician. The decision to approve special conditions will be made by the Director of the Residence Life Program.PROCEDURE:
Students making requests for special housing needs must complete the permission to release information and forward the Physician Special Housing Needs Request form for completion by a physician.

The submission deadline will be June 1 for the fall semester and December 1 for winter term or spring semester.

The Director of Residence Life will review the request and approve, approve with conditions or not approve the request.

If a student is placed in a non air-conditioner residence hall and receives approval for an air conditioner, the student will bear the expense for the air conditioner. The unit must be installed and removed by Facility Services.

Requests submitted after the published deadlines will result in a late fee of $100.
