SUBJECT:
Nepotism
PURPOSE:
To establish and define the University policy with respect to the employment of relatives of employees.
POLICY:
Near relatives will not be employed in such a fashion as to have supervisory relationship with each other or to be subject to the same immediate supervisor or when there will be a direct relationship between then in connection with their work.
RATIONALE:

PROCEDURE:

Near relatives of employees are defined as follows: Mother/Father and in-laws, children or step children, husband and wife, brothers/sisters and in-laws, uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, and first cousins.

Exceptions will be made on a case by case basis by the Dean of Faculty or the Human Resources Director.
