Break Housing (S2)

SUBJECT:
Housing during Official University Breaks (Thanksgiving, End of Semester and Spring Break)

PURPOSE:
To establish the policy for students who are unable to leave during the official breaks of the university.

POLICY:
Students will be allowed to stay on campus during Thanksgiving and Spring Break. Additional room and board charged (to be announced on July 1) will be assessed to students who choose to stay during this time.

The residence halls will be closed to students between the end of Fall Semester and the beginning of Winter Term.

PROCEDURE:
The residence halls will close at 9:00 a.m. the morning following the announced Thanksgiving Break, the last day of fall semester finals and the announced spring break.

Students who wish to remain during Thanksgiving and Spring Break will be required to notify the office one week in advance. There will be an additional charge for failing to notify within this time limit.

A minimum of 10 students are required before students will be allowed to stay in their rooms.

A minimum of 25 students will be required to offer food services in the Swarm Inn. A minimum of 60 students will be required to offer food services in the Commons.

Students will be responsible for finding their own housing between Fall semester and Winter Term.
