PURPOSE:
To document a policy for administrators and professionals to teach courses

To establish the policy for attendance of employees at student and special assemblies.

PURPOSE:
To provide unpaid leaves of absence when employees need to attend to family and medical matters and to ensure compliance with federal and state laws regarding family and medical leaves.

PURPOSE:
To provide guidance for equitable recognition of employees.
First Responder and Fire Department Volunteers (HR21)
PURPOSE:
To establish a policy relating to the absences of employees when responding as volunteers to the local fire department or First Responders during scheduled working hours.

To assist Leaders with acquiring temporary assistance when needed.
Moving Allowance (HR10)
PURPOSE:
To assist all employees, equitably, with the cost of relocating to a Graceland University work location
Nepotism (HR4)
PURPOSE:
To establish and define the University policy with respect to the employment of relatives of employees.
Paid Time Off (HR12)
PURPOSE:
Necessary leave and vacation are designed to provide flexibility in paid time off for employees of Graceland University. These programs are designed to meet the diverse needs of our workforce but are a benefit that must be managed by both the employee and leader.
Payroll Advances (HR2)
PURPOSE:
Provide guidance on employee payroll advances
Position Approval - New and Replacement (HR5)
PURPOSE:
Establish the policy and procedure for approving positions and hiring employees for new and replacement positions
Re-employment (HR3)
PURPOSE:
To establish a policy regarding re-hiring previous employees
Reduction in Workforce (HR11)

To establish the procedure for reduction in force. Recommended change: To provide guidelines for fair and effective decision-making in selection of employees when reductions in workforce are necessary.
