General Options
These are some of the most commonly modified general options:

-- The list administrator email addresses. Multiple administrator addresses, each on separate line is okay.
Ex:
waske@graceland.edu
kelly@graceland.edu

-- The list moderator email addresses. Multiple moderator addresses, each on separate line is okay.

-- A terse phrase identifying this list.
Ex: Staff Association

-- An introductory description - a few paragraphs - about the list. It will be included, as html, at the top of the listinfo page. Carriage returns will end a paragraph.
Ex: This is for members of the Graceland Staff Association.

-- Hide the sender of a message, replacing it with the list address (Removes From, Sendes and Reply-To fields). Default is set to No.

-- Where are replies to list messages directed? Poster is strongly recommended for most mailing lists. Default is set to This list.

-- Send password reminders to, eg, "-owner" address instead of directly to user. Default is set to No.

-- Send monthly password reminders? Default is set to No.

-- Maximum length in kilobites (KB) of a message body. Use 0 for no limit.

Digest Options

-- Footer added to every digest. Ex:

Non-digest Options
These are some of the most commonly modified non-digest options:

Archiving Options
These are some of the most commonly modified archiving options:

-- Is archive file source for public or private archival?

Privacy Options - Subscription Rules
These are some of the most commonly modified privacy options for subscription rules:

-- Advertise this list when people ask what lists are on this machine? Default is set to Yes.

-- What steps are required for subscription? Default is set to Require Approval.

-- Is the list moderator's approval required for unsubscription requesrs? (No is recommended.) Defauls is set to No.

Privacy Options - Sender Filters
These are some of the most commonly modified privacy options for sender filters:

-- By default, should new list member postings be moderated? Default is set to No.

-- Action to take when a moderated member posts to the list. Default is set to Hold.

-- List of non-member addresses whose postings should be automatically accepted.

Privacy Options - Recepient Filters
There are no commonly modified privacy options for recepient filters.
