Mission Statement: Information Technology Services improves the quality of service and life at Graceland through technology and information management.
Information Technology Services is an integral part of the Graceland University campus. With technology at our fingertips, the campus is dependent on the services that are provided through ITS. Centralized support for technology comes from the three major departments within ITS along with the Instructional Technology department and their Student Assistants Plus program. Mission Statement- Graceland Information Systems provides support for administrative and academic processes to enable consistent, reliable and effective use of data and information management resources for Graceland University.
GIS is the nuts and bolts behind the manipulation of data used by all administrative offices at Graceland University. They support administrative functions that are associated with Impromptu, Uniface, MyInfo, Advise, CX/CARS and other processes tied to the centralized database.
Mission Statement-The Desktop Support Service Department provides support to help Graceland University students and employees achieve goals.
Desktop Support Services is the central contact point for all technical needs. Communication with other ITS departments are handled through Desktop Support Services (commonly known as the Help Desk). They provide support over the telephone as well as one-on-one technician support to users. Technology requests and replacements are handled through this department.
Mission Statement- The CTS (Communication Technology Services) Department provides infrastructure support for all administrative and academic processes to enable consistent, reliable, and effective use of resources for Graceland University.
CTS provide a vast array of support to the campus. CTS infrastructure responsibilities include the local area and wide area network, servers, cable TV, the phone system which includes student/employee telephones.
Mission Statement - Instructional Technology Services enhances the educational experience of Graceland University students by providing leadership, support and quality customer services to the faculty, staff, students and administration through effective implementation of Audio/Visual services and computer software training and troubleshooting.
Instructional Technology Services offers audio visual, software, and distance learning solutions. They handle AV set up for faculty, staff and students and offer training on software packages such as Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. They also create and train for distance learning courses in WebCT and eCollege. Their Student Technology Assistance Plus (STA+) representatives are trained student workers who can help solve many technology challenges. STA+ is available by phone or in person to assist with problems, questions and general helps and hints on working with Microsoft Office applications and AV troubleshooting.
