Modern Foreign Lanuage is a major in Graceland University's Division of Humanities. Students in this major are expected to communicate across cultures and to have not only basic oral and written skills, but also the cultural understanding that will enable them to participate more fully in the global community. By orienting course work troward both the liberal arts tradition and contemporary issues, the division prepares students to better understand the complexities of global issues, to be innovative, to think critically about practical and theoretical questions, and to articulate their thinking creatively and accurately.
