The CAP Center (Career, Academic, and Personal Counseling) mission is to help students become successful, serious, and self-aware individuals who graduate from Graceland and move on for advanced study and/or productive careers that help them live rewarding lives. The atmosphere of the CAP Center is a friendly, accepting, and personal one, where students feel welcomed and accepted for who they are. Academic Advisors
- listen and hear what you're saying;
- evaluate your interests, goals, past academic performance, scores on tests, and other relevant factors; assist new students in learning about various campus resources;
- help plan class schedules;
- aid you in choosing your major(s);
- assist you in evaluating your academic progress;
- provide information about educational options, requirements, policies, and procedures;
- provide four-year plans once a major is selected;
- help you register for future classes;
- help you choose a major, declare a major or change a major;
