Residence Hall Services

Cable TV
Cable TV is available in all student residence hall rooms at no extra charge. Students are responsible for providing a cable-ready TV (coaxial cable is provided).

If you need help or have questions regarding this service, please contact the Help Desk at 5167.

Elevators
The elevators in Gunsolley and Graybill are service elevators. Contact the Residence Hall Director if the elevator is needed for emergency use.

Fans
A fan may be purchased for $15 from your Residence Hall Director.

Kitchen Facilities
Kitchens are located in the Units, Walker and Tess Morgan Hall. A microwave and sink are available in Gunsolley.

Laundry
Laundry facilities are located in each of the residence halls. Money lost in the laundry machines will be refunded at InfoCentral. Problems with machines are to be reported to Facility Services (ext. 5191). The university is not responsible for damaged or lost clothes.

Receptionists
A receptionist will be on duty during the school year during visitation hours. Receptionists are responsible for monitoring visitation, answering questions, taking messages, registering guests, and checking out equipment.

Room Lock Combinations
If for any reason you feel the security of your room is in jeopardy, feel free to contact your Residence Hall Director and ask to have your combination changed.

Storage Rooms
Storage rooms are available in each residence hall. The receptionist will open these areas when students wish to store items. Boxes must be filled and taped or tied shut with the student's name and address on them. Empty boxes will not be stored. Graceland assumes no liability for stored items.

Telephones/Voice Mail
A telephone, local telephone service and voice mail are provided in each student room at no additional cost.

Voice mailboxes will be individually assigned to each residence hall student. Students are subject to Graceland’s Technology Ethics and Use Policy. Inappropriate voicemail greetings will not be tolerated.
