The following Competitive Scholarships are based on a combination of: GPA, Essay, References, high school activities and community service.

Alumni Endowed ScholarshipBe a direct descendant of a Graceland alumnus.
Apply for admission to Graceland or be a current student.
Submit application on or before March 1
Live in a residence hall on campus, unless residing with parents or legal guardian, are married, or are living in the Kansas City area while enrolled in the clinical nursing program.
Diversity ScholarshipStudents who are committed to issues of diversity, social justice, equal opportunity, civil rights and non-discrimination.
Current Graceland students are encouraged to apply.

Evelyn Phinney Make a Difference ScholarshipEstablished to encourage and advance the cause of human rights.

Great Western Bank Scholarship
Great Western Bank of Leon will award a $500 competitive scholarship to a graduate of Central Decatur, Lamoni, or Morman Trail High School.
Honors Scholarship
Beginning academic year 2004-2005 both new and continuing students in the Honors Program who have a grade point average of 3.75 to 4.00 will have an Honors Scholarship up to $1,000 added to their financial aid packages. Please consult with your financial aid advisor or with the Director of the Honors Program for details and deadlines. To establish eligibility you must apply, be accepted and be active in the Honors Program.
Teresa Carpenter Writing Grant
High school seniors
Applying for admission to Graceland University.
There are two categories: Short Story and Essay.

This scholarship is designed to recognize Community of Christ youth and youth who are church friends who have a vision for the future direction of the Community of Christ.

Seven grants will be awarded
Worthington ScholarshipGraceland students interested in political science.
Submit application by December 1, for the following academic year.
Athletic Training Scholarship
Students who enter Graceland and who designate Athletic Training as their major may have $1,000 of their Graceland University Grant identified as an Athletic Training Scholarship, with the approval of the Athletic Training faculty. Upon acceptance into the Athletic Training Program, students may have an Athletic Training Scholarship added to their financial aid package in an amount up to $2,000. Please consult with your Athletic Training academic advisor for details and deadlines.
