Internships

The purpose of an internships is to educate the student in a way that cannot be accomplished in the classroom. Internships can provide priceless career related experiences that not only makes students more attractive to employers, but also gives them real world background to apply to their academic work.

Internships provide an opportunity to establish a network of contacts who can:

• Write meaningful letters of reference that set a student apart from other graduate school and job applicants
• Serve as mentor in a chosen field
• Supply leads on job openings within the field
