Severe Economic Hardship<!wide>

If other employment opportunities are not available or are otherwise insufficient, an eligible F-1 student may request off-campus work authorization based upon severe economic hardship caused by circumstances beyond the student’s control. If you qualify and wish to apply for work, please contact the International Programs Office.
All work application forms are available through the International Programs Office.

This option is a last resort application. Approvals are not guaranteed and there is an approximate application fee of $200.
