Tuition Benefit Checklist for Employees/Dependents
1. Apply for admission (if not previously enrolled during prior semester) and request transcripts from previous schools if you are seeking a degree. Contact Admissions (ext 5180 or email: admissions) with questions.

2. File your Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA). A FAFSA must be filled out for each student prior to June 1 preceding the initial semester of attendance. If you qualify for the Pell Grant and/or the Iowa Tuition Grant for the initial semester of attendance, you must file the FAFSA for subsequent years. If you did not qualify for the Pell Grant and/or the Iowa Tuition Grant, Financial Aid Services will determine whether you need to file. 3. Register for classes. Schedule of classes is available online. If you are seeking a degree, contact your academic advisor or the CAP Center (ext 5200 or email: CAP Center) with questions. If you are not seeking a degree, contact InfoCentral (ext 5067 or email: InfoCentral ).

4. Submit a tuition benefit form every semester. Forms are available at InfoCentral and Human Resources. Forms for Spring Semester are due in HR before December 1 and forms for Fall semester are due in HR before June 15. Late forms may be assessed a $50 fine. Please keep in mind that this benefit covers tuition only and any other fees, charges or costs are the student's responsibility. 5. Contact your Student Accounts Coordinator (ext 3134 or email: Student Accounts) to ensure your financial clearance is complete.
