I currently have openings for beginning guitar students of all ages. I can begin at the beginning, for those who have never even picked up a guitar, or assist with just learning how to play with another musician. Musical styles I am familiar with include blues, country, classic rock, and general improv. I teach students to play by ear and make little use of sheet music and tablature. In addition, I can assist with instrument selection. My belief is that students need to not only love the music they are playing, but understand what they are playing--for this reason I will also teach some history behind styles and how past music impacts what we hear today.
