It is my dream that KBUZ radio become more a part of Graceland campus life as the school year moves along. Tuning in is fairly easy, just open up your web browser and enter radio.graceland.edu. This should take you to the KBUZ web page which has a blue highlighted "LISTEN NOW" button. Simply click on that and wait for a dialogue window to open that says, Do you want to listen to the file?, then click open. If you have I-Tunes already installed on your cmputer, the station should start playing within a matter of seconds. If you do not have I-Tunes, then you can download that very popular and safe program from the KBUZ web page. Happy listening!
Scheduling a computer lab is now possible through Virtual EMS. Once you have logged into VEMS as a user, choose the Reservations link on the blue menu bar- select option- Room Request from the drop down menu. This option will let you check the availability of a lab as well as reserving one. If you encounter problems with a reservation or have questions on how to use VEMS please contact Amanda Waske at extension 5494 or amanda.waske@graceland.edu.

In June 2005 I was introduced to Kirby at Leader Dogs for the Blind. For the past four years Kirby has been by my side and has been a major part of many life events. Many of you may remember Kirby either from classes at Graceland or just seeing him around campus and if you got lucky, you may even have gotten to pet him a few times. A year ago Kirby was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes and an ocular cyst in one. After attempting to treat this issue, to prolong his working life, it has become necessary for him to retire. On December 1st, Kirby will work his last day and become a well trained house dog. I would like to thank the Graceland community for your support of our working team and special thanks to those who lent support over the last year. Jesse & Kirby

In this issue, we focus on Sherri Kirkpatrick and the new village health care project she and her husband Jac have just launched. HealthEd Connect is a noble endeavor that will provide research and education to help the neediest children on Earth, in Sub-Sahara Africa.
