The Financial Training Team focuses on helping students, the elderly and disadvantaged groups to increase their understanding of basic financial topics. It is the goal of this team to empower others through a variety of presentations and projects that teach personal finance skills. They cover topics such as tax preparation, interest rates, student loans, credit scores, budgeting tips and investment guidance.
Graceland University has a large international student population, and recently the Financial Training Team has started to develop a program that helps international students come prepared for American banking. Many of them are unaware how the banking systems work and aren't equipped with a bank account or a way to access their money when they first arrive on campus.
