Student Financial Services - Financial Advisor

Graceland University has an opening for a full-time Financial Advisor on the Lamoni, Iowa, campus. This position will be responsible for serving our traditional student populations. This position requires minimal evening/weekend work and limited travel. The successful applicant will be reviewing financial information, preparing financial awards with guidance from established federal, state and institutional policies, providing information regarding charges and a clear expectation of the student’s financial obligation to the university. Must provide information to students in an accurate, timely, professional and courteous manner and maintain a professional approach regarding sensitive and confidential subject matter. Position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student population and ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Qualifications: Excellent written and verbal communications skills, good math skills, proficient computer and typing skills.  Previous financial aid/Title IV experience preferred. Associates or bachelor's degree in accounting, math or similar field preferred.
