Campus Maintenance

Graceland University is seeking a full-time, 12-month Campus Maintenance person for the Lamoni, Iowa, campus. This position is responsible for grounds maintenance, walks, road maintenance, equipment maintenance, deliveries and office/event setup.

The successful candidate will have a positive outlook and be solution oriented. Minimum Qualifications: must have one year experience or education in horticulture or agriculture with associated experience in equipment maintenance. Experience maintaining athletic fields preferred. Pesticide Applicator Certification desired, or ability to pass exam. Must have valid driver’s license with preference given to the holder of a CDL. Knowledge in equipment operation required. Must be able to routinely lift 100+ pounds and be able to work in all weather conditions including heights and inclement weather. Some overtime required and must be accessible “on call.”

Student Activities Secretary

Graceland University has a full-time, 12-month secretarial position open in the Student Activities/Conference and Events office. Qualified applicants must have exceptional organizational and communication skills and be committed to customer service. Workplace is a fast-paced, student-friendly environment that requires a dedicated self starter. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel and a variety of social media is a must. Previous experience with budgets, billing, supervision of student workers and campus-wide scheduling preferred. Secretarial training or equivalent experience required.

Student Financial Services - Financial Advisor

Graceland University has an opening for a full-time Financial Advisor on the Independence, Missouri, campus. This position will be responsible for serving online student populations. This position requires minimal evening/weekend work and limited travel. The successful applicant will be reviewing financial information; preparing financial awards with guidance from established Federal, State and Institutional policies; providing information regarding charges and a clear expectation of the student’s financial obligation to the University. Must provide information to students in an accurate, timely, professional and courteous manner, and maintain a professional approach regarding sensitive and confidential subject matter. Position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse student population and ability to apply mathematical concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios and proportions to practical situations.

Qualifications: excellent written and verbal communications skills, good math skills, proficient computer and typing skills. Previous Financial Aid/Title IV experience required. Associates or bachelor's degree in accounting, math or similar field preferred. Student Financial Services - Student Financial Services Specialist

Graceland University has an opening for a full-time Student Financial Services Specialist on the Lamoni, Iowa, campus.  This position will work with the entire Student Financial Services team in the administration and processing of financial aid. The successful candidate will review financial information, request necessary documentation and update Federal systems, as necessary. This position will follow established Federal, State and Institutional policies. This position is also responsible for opening  and distributing incoming mail, coordinating department student traffic, ordering office supplies and additional duties, as required. Must provide information to students and families in an accurate, timely, professional, and courteous manner and maintain a professional approach regarding sensitive and confidential subject matter. Position requires the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population demonstrating strong customer service and organization skills.

Qualifications: excellent written and verbal communications skills, good math skills, proficient computer and typing skills. Previous Financial Aid/Title IV experience preferred. Associates degree in liberal arts, business or related field and one year relevant experience or equivalent combination.
