Assistant Professor of Accounting

The C.H. Sandage School of Business at Graceland University is seeking two Assistant Professors of Accounting to begin August 2018.  These are both full-time, 9 month, non-tenure-track positions, one year, one year renewable, with the potential to be converted to tenure-track positions.   The candidate should possess a master’s degree in accounting or a master’s degree in business administration with relevant accounting certification.  Preference will be given to candidates with a PhD in accounting, practical experience in the industry and/or a record of teaching and service that speaks to any or all of the three Sandage curriculum foundations:  global awareness, ethics and entrepreneurship. 

Teaching responsibilities include a 4/4 teaching load consisting of a wide range of accounting courses, including Financial, Managerial, Intermediate, Tax, Cost and Auditing, with exact course assignments depending on area of specialty of the candidate.    The candidate will also teach some business administration courses.   In addition to normal service activities, the successful candidate will strive to find ways to advance the student experience.  Qualified applicants should submit a letter of application, c.v., evidence of teaching effectiveness, and three letters of recommendation to Dr. Rob Poulton, Dean, C.H.
