Assistant Professor of Sociology

The Division of Social Sciences at Graceland University seeks to fill an Assistant Professor of Sociology position on the Lamoni, Iowa, campus, beginning August 2018. Applicants should expect to teach courses that focus on Human Services for Sociology majors, including courses such as Marriage and Family, Sociology of Gender, and a topics course of their choosing. In addition to these courses, applicants are required to teach Introduction to Sociology and the Research Methods courses for the Sociology major. This position has a 4/4 teaching load for the academic year.


The successful candidates will have demonstrated teaching excellence. A commitment to undergraduate liberal arts teaching and service is required, as well as willingness to explore interdisciplinary connections.
