Assistant Professor of Theatre and Scene Design

Graceland University is seeking a full-time tenure track faculty member with an emphasis in scene design and construction. MFA or PhD required beginning August 2016 in Lamoni, Iowa. The successful candidate will coordinate the technical aspects of the theatre program, design and supervise construction of productions, and teach in the department. Graceland’s theatre program is currently expanding and has extraordinary facilities, including a 600-seat proscenium auditorium, a state-of-the art black box theatre and an outdoor amphitheatre.

Assistant Professor of Athletic Training

Graceland University is seeking an Assistant Professor in Athletic Training and Athletic Training Program Director. The position is a full-time, nine-month faculty position with an academic assignment primarily connected to the CAATE-accredited undergraduate athletic training major. Duties include, but are not limited to, teaching, advising students and service, possibility of establishing a master’s degree in athletic training.

A master’s degree is required, doctorate preferred. Position begins August 2016. Assistant Professor of Graphic Design

Graceland University is seeking a full-time, nine-month tenure-track Assistant Professor of Graphic Design and Visual Communication starting August 2016 in the Department of Visual and Performing Arts on the Lamoni, Iowa, campus. The ideal candidate is a designer and educator who possesses the ability to teach students in multiple levels from foundation to senior level courses with expertise in technical and digital skills, traditional and contemporary design practices. Candidates should be highly collaborative and show strong skills in communication, problem solving and are expected to contribute to the development of new curriculum. An MFA and a sincere commitment to undergraduate liberal arts teaching, scholarship and service are required.

Assistant Professor of English

Graceland University is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor in British literature beginning August 2016 on the Lamoni, Iowa, campus. Candidates should have demonstrated ability as a British generalist, with a focus on literature from its beginnings through the Victorian period. Ability to teach world literature a plus. PhD required by August 2016. The 4/4 teaching load includes composition, core English courses, and topics courses based on the candidate’s secondary interests that can appeal to both majors and non majors. Demonstrated teaching excellence and a commitment to undergraduate teaching and service is required.

Graceland University is seeking a tenure-track assistant professor in accounting beginning August 2016 on the Lamoni, Iowa, campus. Ability to teach lower/upper division accounting courses and business finance is required. Master’s degree and a commitment to excellence in undergraduate teaching and service is required. DBA preferred.
