Russ Pieken is a nationally known consultant in the area of classroom effectiveness. He has been a classroom teacher and a principal in both the Independence, Missouri, School District and the Blue Valley School District. Most recently he received a special recognition for his work with the Missouri Department of Education on "Project Success," where he served as a mentor to Missouri middle and high schools in a statewide effort to improve student proficiency in communication arts and mathematics. The school that Pieken mentored won the award for most improved of all 25 participating schools.
A variety of classes including Five Kinds of Minds for the 21st Century, The Social Lives of Children Today, Emotional Intelligence and Boys in Today's Culture are offered at various times during the year. Depending upon the course, the format may be online or face to face.
