Graceland Hosts Avila on Senior Day

Lamoni, IA- On a night that Graceland was in need of a sweep to keep their already small hopes alive of hosting a HAAC conference tournament game, they took care of business. In the process, not only did they keep their hopes alive, but at the very least they’ve now improved their standings for the HAAC tournament that begins this Saturday, Nov. 3rd. Graceland would win in three by scores of 30-22, 30-21, and 30-26.
“We served well again tonight,” Coach McDole said following the match. The ladies played very opportunistic offense. We took advantage at key times when we needed to. I got a little nervous in the third game when Avila started to close on us. At that point though, we really firmed up our play and finished strong. We’ve really played about twenty straight quality games and we continue to improve.”
Tuesday night was also senior night for Graceland as the Jackets honored their three. Stephanie Hamann, Jana Marler, and Jennifer Stone were all participating in their final regular season home game and were honored in pre-game ceremonies. The three will be greatly missed and have left a lasting impression on Jacket volleyball.
Graceland now waits for their opponent and location to be named for the opening of the HAAC tournament which begins this Saturday, November 3rd. Stay tune for more info.
