Jackets Finish Second Day At Ashford Invite

Clinton, IA- The women’s volleyball team continued action Saturday afternoon in the Ashford University Invite. Like Friday, Graceland would split on the day. The Jackets opened the day up against Clarke University out of Dubuque. Graceland would drop all three games with scores of 28-30, 29-31, 21-30. In the second match of the day for the Jackets, they took care of host Ashford University in four with scores of 30-20, 30-19, 26-30, 30-20. Following the weekend events Coach McDole had this to say, “We didn’t play our best volleyball but it wasn’t for lack of effort. There were a bunch of really good teams in this tourney so it’s a very fun event to attend.” Graceland now stands at 12-12 and looks to improve their conference record as they face William Jewell Tuesday night October 9th in Liberty, MO at 7:00 pm.
