Jackets Square Off With Wildcats

Lamoni, IA- The Lady Jacket volleyball team got a big win Tuesday night as they faced off against the conference leading Baker Wildcats. Graceland defeated Baker in 5 with scores of 24-30, 30-28, 27-30, 30-24, & 15-12 in what proved to be a great match. “We played a tough team tonight,” Coach McDole said following the match. “We kept our focus and fought through the difficult parts of the match, and we finished strong.” The game seesawed back-and-forth as Baker and Graceland kept trading game wins. In the end, the Jackets were too much and clawed their way back to .500 overall, and remain undefeated in the HAAC at 2-0. The Jackets next play a rare Saturday morning conference game at 9:30 am this Saturday, September 29th.
