Don Stopa Farewell (5-1-07)

Thank you. I must open up my farewell message with those two important words.

Thank you to the players for the memories, on and off the field. Thank you to the softball coaching staff for way too many hours of help. And thank you to the coaches and staff of the department for the support over the last three years.

I have had an amazing ride over the last three years as the head softball coach here at Graceland University. The team was exactly what every coach could ever want and I wish the program my best for the future as I look to move on to Tucson and take the next step in my life.

This group of young ladies is top notch. On the field they play hard and never give up. In the classroom they work just as hard and their amazing grades show for it. I will miss each and every one of these great people.

To all Yellowjackets, past and present, you are now my new group of best friends that I will dearly miss.

Last I would like to thank head baseball coach, Brady McKillip. Five years ago he offered me a job as his pitching coach and that job turned into a great friendship. Graceland University has been a great home to me and thank you Brady for bringing me here.

To everyone in the Graceland family, Thank You!!!
