Arielle Gault Chooses Graceland as College Softball Destination
April 8, 2007
Lamoni, IA- Having already put together a very solid year on the diamond in 2007, Graceland University head softball coach Don Stopa hopes to continue the growth of a solid program with the signing of Arielle Gault to a national letter of intent to further her education and play softball for the Yellowjackets.
A 6’1” infielder with the ability to play either the corner infield spots, Gault is an established player that the Jackets will look to early and often in her softball career. A product of Tina-Avalon High School in Hale, Missouri, Gault will begin her Yellowjacket career beginning in the fall of 2007.“Arielle is a big player who has really swung it in high school, said Stopa. If she keeps that up she could be a great college player.” Batting over .400 during her senior campaign, Gault connected for eight doubles, three triples, and one homerun while driving in 23 runs in her final prep season.
Playing under head coach Jake Reardon, Gault was named all-conference, all-region, and all-district during her senior season. “Arielle was a four year starter for us here at Tina Avalon and was consistently a middle of the order bat that we could count on,” said Reardon.
Not only a solid performer on the softball diamond, Gault also lettered in both basketball and track. She was named an all-academic selection for both basketball and softball.
A well rounded student-athlete, Gault was not only active on the field and the court as she participated in FFA, was a student council member, as well as a member of the National Honor Society. She plans to major in nursing at Graceland when she arrives next fall.
Arielle is the daughter of Charlotte and Leroy Gault.
