Carrie Wilson Honored With HAAC Pitcher of the Week

Shawnee, KS- Carrie Wilson of the Graceland University softball team was named the Heart of America Athletic Conference pitcher of the week on Monday. Wilson, a junior right-hander out of North Battleford, Saskatchewan picked up three wins last week as the Yellowjackets competed in the Tucson Invitational in Tucson, Arizona, improving her season individual record to 7-2 on the young season. Wilson gained her first win of the week against Eastern Oregon University, tossing seven strong innings in which she gave up three earned runs and struck out five. Wilson’s other two wins came out of the Jacket bullpen as she totaled 12 innings on the week while tallying eight strikeouts and just three earned runs.
