Graceland University welcomes Tyler Stricklin as the Junior Varsity Men's basketball coach. Coach Stricklin brings with him a passion for the game and strong fundamentals for a successful team.
Experience
While attending classes at University of Central Missouri University, Tyler was the head coach of the Grain Valley Middle School basketball team for the 2006-2007 season. Coach Stricklin was also a varsity assistant for two years at Grain Valley (Mo) High School; Stricklin helped the Eagles to a second place finish in their district during the 2005-2006 season.
Honors
Stricklin graduated from Grain Valley High School in 2004; where he was a two-time first team all-conference member and a member of the all-district team in 2003. Stricklin led the Eagles to two conference championships and finished with an overall record of 56-24.
Personal
Tyler Stricklin was born September 26, 1985 in Kansas City, Mo. His parents are Vince and Pauline Stricklin of Grain Valley, Mo. Tyler has one younger brother, Jared (current Varsity Yellow jacket player) and 3 half brothers, the late Jeff Stricklin, Tim Stricklin and Jason Stricklin.
