03-10-04 NFL Scouts Evaluate Ten Graceland Football Players

Ten of Graceland University's top senior-to-be football players worked out for NFL scouts Wednesday morning at the Closson Center.

At the professional testing, Cleveland Browns scout Russ Lande timed the forty-yard dash, evaluated skill abilities and weighed and measured body proportions of the ten student-athletes. Following the physical performance evaluation, the players filled out a questionnaire and took the Wonderlic, an aptitude test.

The Graceland football coaching staff, led by Head Coach Cris Welch, supplied the scout with game films and highlights of the players’ 2003 season. Lande also spoke with Welch about the possibility and potential of these athletes’ abilities in professional football.

The athletes at the work-out included: Quarterbacks Clayton Bradick and Eric Boatwright; Receivers Dante Johnson, Nick Terrazas, Nick Garrett and Anthony Rozier; Defensive backs Reggie Cox and Michael Richardson; Defensive Lineman Kello Kirk; Running Back Joe Morman.
