Cheer Squad
A Message from Coach Mari Chandler
Until recently, GU Cheer Squad has been operating as a club on a minimum budget. This has now changed and we have become a varsity sport. This is very exciting for many reasons. For one, these ladies work very hard to perform stunts and promote spirit at the sporting events. Now they will be eligible to receive scholarships for all their hard work and dedication.
Secondly, our squad will increase from 17 to 25 for 2009-10 and move to 30 for 2010-2011! This opens the door of opportunity for recruiting new talent who will bring strong skills and experience!
I am looking forward to building our squad as a varsity sport next year. Make sure you come and help us support our GU Yellowjackets!
