Coach Brady McKillip and his staff have signed a talented speedster from Puerto Rico to fill some outfield gaps for the upcoming season. Outfielder Brian Contreras comes to Graceland via Indian Hills Community College. Contreras is a native of San Lorenzo, Puerto Rico. “Brian is an incredibly talented athlete with amazing speed and a strong arm. He should be in the mix for a starting position in one of the fastest and most talented outfields ever to be a part of our program,” said Coach McKillip. Contreras played 24 games and hit .304 with 10 RBI’s, 4 doubles, 1 triple and 5 stolen bases at Indian Hills last year. Brian not only brings strong athletics to the mix, but also strong academics with a 3.58 GPA. Contreras is still undecided in choosing his major.
