My responsibilities as VP for Institutional Advancement allow me to visit our alumni and friends all over the United States. My affection for the University has deepened as I have witnessed the real support and love that so many of our alumni and friends have for our Graceland campuses. We have just completed a record setting 60 million dollar campaign and look forward to begin work this summer on a 10 Million + "Extreme Makeover" of our Science and Technology Center.

My wife, Tammy (Ewing) and I met at Graceland and married in 1977. I worked for US Steel and EMJ Steel for a number of years before joining the Development team in 1998. It has been a great opportunity to return to the “Hill” and be involved in helping secure financial gifts for the University that I have always loved. Tammy is an Associate Professor of Education at Graceland and enjoys helping students prepare for the challenges and the rewards of being in the classroom.

Tammy and I have three children who have all graduated from Graceland as well. We feel very fortunate that we were able to live in Lamoni during that time when they were at school with ten of our nieces and nephews. They have gone on from Graceland to be successful and have established lifelong friendships with many of their fellow students they met on the Lamoni campus.
