St. Charles, MO-The Jacket women made a strong run on the Lions of Lindenwood Saturday afternoon, but could not deliver the finishing blow in St. Charles, losing in overtime 90-95.
The Jackets started off the contest aggressively, managing to take a slim 39-36 lead into the half.
As competitive as the first half was, it was clear the hosts would not go down lightly. Indeed, the Lions fought bitterly and the game was back and forth for the entire second frame, and at the end of regulation, the game was tied 81-81.
The Jackets could not match the home side in overtime play, managing only 9 points to Lindenwood's 14.
Alexis Wright (Wichita, KS) led Graceland from the floor, going 8-18 for 21 points, also corralling a team-high 10 rebounds. Senior Channel Rainey (Los Angeles, CA) contributed 19 points to the Graceland cause,
