Avila Invitational
Overland Park, KS-The weather seemed to steal the storyline during the entire fall season. The ladies golf team only played in nice weather at the home invitational as the conditions for the tournament at Avila were windy and cold (45 degrees). "I appreciate the dedication of the Krista and Carolina," commented Coach Brunner. "These two continue to try hard and play their best." Sophomore Carolina Fonseca (Bogota, Colombia) finished with a 185 (91-94) and Senior Krista Wooded (Woodstock, ONT) finished with a 186 (94-92). Individually, they finished 18th and 19th, respectively. They played good in the conditions and finished in the top half of the field of players.
The offseason work begins and recruiting for the spring is in progress. Coach Brunner hopes to field a full team in the spring with a couple of additional recruits and players from on campus.
