Pella, IA-Sophomore Mikhail Ziskos (East York, ONT) played well in tough conditions. Playing as a medalist, Ziskos fired 161 (83-78) fighting through the rain, wind, and cold to finish is 5th place ties and receive a medal for his efforts. "Mikhail played well considering the conditions," commented Coach Brunner. "This type of day is test for the entire team. I know we can play well in good conditions but I was happy to see us play a tough course well in poor conditions."
The weather conditions tested the entire team and Yellowjackets were able to play their way into third place in the five team field by shooting 669 (340-329). "If I had played Mikhail as part of the team we would have finished second," said Coach Brunner. The team consisted of Senior Adam Craig (Stouffville, ONT) who shot 164 (81-83), Sophomore Tim Redding (Grand River, IA) scored 164 (81-83), Sophomore Trent Ranney (Lamoni, IA) shot 169 (85-84) and drowned an umbrella but then saved it, Junior Matt Mickelson (Lamoni, IA) struggled to 172 (93-79), and Sophomore Ryan Martin (Pella, IA) 185 (94-91). Other individuals included Jesse Still at 181 (94-87) and James DiPrima 198 (98-100).
Next up for the Yellowjackets is the Kansas City Kansas Invitational.
