Lamoni, IA-The Graceland women's volleyball traveled to Atchison, Kansas Tuesday evening to face the Benedictine College Ravens. Playing in their sixth conference game of the season and standing at 2-3 in HAAC play, GU desperately needed a win to get them back to .500 in conference play. Unfortunately, it wasn't in the cards for the Jackets on the night as they struggled to find consistency on the evening, falling in 4 games. Graceland lost 23-25, 20-25, 25-23 & 20-25 running their overall record to 13-7 and dropping them to 2-4 in conference play.
"Benedictine is one of the quality teams in the HAAC," stated Coach McDole following the loss. "They test everyone and obviously win most. Our only deficiency on the night was our struggle to consistently execute. It is definitely in our future," finished McDole.
The Jackets will now turn the page to an exciting upcoming homecoming alumni game this Saturday at 10am in the Closson Center where they can let their proverbial guard down and enjoy a fun, entertaining match. Following that, GU will head right back into conference play Tuesday evening in Canton, MO against Culver Stockton beginning at 7pm. Stay tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage of the women's volleyball team and all of Jacket athletics.
