Liberty, MO-The women's volleyball team was in Liberty, Missouri Tuesday evening facing conference rival William Jewell. The Cardinals have been a season stopper for Graceland over the past few years in conference tournament play so Coach McDole and his team were hungry for a win.
Unfortunately for GU, William Jewell was too much for the Jackets tonight as they fell in 4, 20-25, 20-25, 25-21 & 26-28.
"Jewell brought their game tonight," stated Coach McDole on the trip home. "They played exceedingly well. That said, I felt the last two games were the measure of the match. Our team is still finding itself and in the end I think this match will help us. From here, we can only look forward," concluded McDole.
The Jackets now stand at 8-5 overall and 2-2 in Heart of America Athletic Conference play. Graceland will next play nationally ranked conference opponent Lindenwood University in Lamoni this Saturday at 2:30 pm. The game will be webcast live via Stretch Internet on the Jacket website.
