Columbia, KY-Coming off of yesterdays big win over Trinity Christian the #23 Jackets were feeling confident they would be able to avenge last years season ending elite 8 loss to Lindsey Wilson.
Perennial power Lindsey Wilson entered the contest at 4-1-2 and ranked #4 nationally. Last year the Blue Raiders lost in the Final Four of the women's NAIA National Championships in Daytona Beach, Florida.
After playing a scoreless first half with the Blue Raiders, Lindsey Wilson asserted their prowess in the second half scoring three unanswered goals in the 58th, 59th and 80th minutes of the contest.
"In the first half we held the #4 ranked Lindsey Wilson Blue Raiders to a 0-0 tie," said Wagenaar following the match. "I felt we put up a valiant effort but their physical play is ultimately what did us in," finished Wagenaar.
It was a tough 3-0 loss for Graceland but they'll head back to Lamoni with their heads held high and prepared for their home opener this Tuesday against the Park University Pirates.
