Men's Results | Women's Results
Joplin, MO-The Graceland men's and women's cross country teams are running in the Missouri Southern Stampede Saturday morning.
For the men, Junior Neil Grundman (Croswell, MI) beat his personal best for the eight kilometer by an amazing 55 seconds, finishing with a time of 24:06. Ahmed Khalif, the 5'10" sophomore (Hamilton, ON) finished in 25:16.
The Jacket women's side produced a standout in freshman Jami Ruckman (Independence, MO), who finished the the five kilometer in 20.29.
"There is no question that we had a great meet here today," said an elated Coach Allshouse following the Missouri Southern Stampede. "Neil Grundman's 24:06 was simply amazing and then to follow that up with everyone on the men's team posting personal best performances made the day special. Clearly this new training plan is working. On the women's team, Jami Ruckman is developing really well. With Lindsey Triggs and Alice Ross running very strong, the team is beginning to pack up very nicely. If we continue to progress like we are doing, it will make for a very interesting conference meet in November," concluded Allshouse.
GU will run in two weeks at the Grand View Viking Invitational in Des Moines, IA, Friday, October 2nd. Stay tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage of Graceland tennis and all of Jacket athletics.
