Raytown, MO-Head Coach Stew McDole has signed a pair of Raytown High School volleyball players to the 2009 roster. Amanda Raveill (pictured front left) and Moriah Jones (pictured front right) both of Raytown, Missouri will look to make immediate impacts on this seasons Jacket squad.
Amanda is a 5'7" outside hitter who starred not only in volleyball but basketball and track as well. Outside the athletic arena Raveill is a 4.0 student in the classroom. Amanda is the dauther of Pat and Jeannine Raveill.
"Amanda is a super addition to our University and our volleyball program. She is a model student/athlete. In high school at Raytown she has excelled in the classroom at the highest possible level, on the court as a varsity starter and in every conceivable leadership role. She brings capability, discipline, hard word and wisdom with her. It is hard to imagine the impact she will make, but it will be significant. We are delighted to welcome her to Graceland volleyball," stated Coach McDole about Raveill.
Coach McDole's second recruit, Moriah Jones also comes to Graceland backed by big time accolades. Jones is a 5'11" outside hitter who was named all conference three times and received 1st team all-district honors her senior year. Jones is the daughter of Misty Flowers.
"Moriah comes to Graceland as one of two of our first ever Raytown High School players. She brings good size and a very physical style to our court. While she played a lot at left side in high school and club we will certainly look at her middle and right side possibilities. She brings excellent front row credentials; we are anxious to see just what her Graceland Volleyball future holds. Moriah has a great family athletic heritage and she already seems destined to add to it," finished McDole.
Graceland welcomes both of these fine student athletics to the Yellowjacket family!
