Canton, MO-The women's volleyball team finished up play Saturday afternoon in Canton, Missouri at the annual HAAC preseason tournament.
The Jackets opened play Saturday morning against the Eagles of Central Methodist. Just as the previous day, Graceland made easy work of their first match opponent defeating the Eagles in three straight. The Jackets won 25-18. 25-21 and 25-14.
In the second match the Jackets faced conference power and 2008 national tournament qualifier Lindenwood University. Graceland fell in four to the Lions, 17-25, 25-16, 19-25 & 12-25. The loss to Lindenwood ended in a 2-2 overall split during the weekends tournament.
The Jackets will next face Missouri Valley College in the Jackets home opener this Tuesday inside the Closson Center at 7:30 pm. Stay tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage of the women's volleyball team and all of Jacket athletics.
