Lamoni, IA-The men's tennis team is currently enjoying the fruits of their seasons success in Mobile, Alabama at the National Tourney. Monday evening at the annual banquet the Jacket accolades, both team and individual, were rolling in.
Senior Brett Waite (St. Louis, MO) was named region II senior of the year and region II Champions of Character award winner. Remy Caffardo (Romans, France), Thomas Brodbeck (Cerny, France), Felipe Viacosta (Mexico) and Brett Waite were all named academic all-americans and the entire women's team was named the winner of the ITA Champions of Character award.
On top of the player honors, Coach Hampton was named region II coach of the year for his teams outstanding 2009 campaign.
Graceland University congratulates both the men's and women's teams for their outstanding performances this year both on and off the court. Good luck at nationals!
