Lamoni, IA-Two local products who come from Lamoni HS and have starred on the Demon gridiron for the last 4 years have signed with the Jackets. Brandon Bell (pictured top right with family) and Taylor Fulton (pictured bottom left with family) have inked their letters of intent and will be Yellowjackets in the fall of 2009.
These two gifted athletes played multiple positions for the Demon football team last season as Taylor was an all-conference linebacker and fullback and Brandon played safety and was an all-state running back with lightning quickness. As team leaders, Bell and Fulton guided their teams to district championships and into the Iowa High School State playoffs. The first time a Demon football team had made the state playoffs since 1999.
Both athletes have family ties to Yellowjacket football. Fulton's Uncle Alphie was a star offensive lineman for Graceland. Bell has had two family members on the Jacket team as his dad (Bob) was a star linebacker in the early 80's and his brother (Chris) has been a linebacker for the Jackets the past three seasons. Chris graduated from Graceland this past semester.

"Getting local kids like this to stay home and become Yellowjackets is exactly what we want to build around," stated Coach Kious. "These two fine young men are going to fit in perfectly into what Coach Welch and the football program have built here for so many years. It's going to be very exciting to see them on campus next fall and we can't wait to get them on the field," finished an excited Kious.
Graceland congratulates both Taylor and Brandon and welcomes them into the Yellowjacket family.
