St. Joseph, MO-The Women's golf team of Senior Christy Everett (Aurora, IL), Junior Krista Woodend (Woodstock, ONT), Sophomore Kelsey Booth (Parkville, MO), and Freshmen Carolina Fonseca (Botota, Colombia) were unable to play their season opener for the second straight year.
"Spring is always an unpredictable time to try to play golf and when it snows there is just no way to play," commented Coach Kevin Brunner.
The ladies were schedule to play at the Missouri Western Invitational but a late spring snow storm forced cancellation of the event. The women will prepare for their run for a conference title by opening at the Missouri Valley Invitational on April 6. The tournament will give the ladies a preview of the conference tournament host course.
