Weekend Stats
Kansas City, MO-The Graceland softball team was in Kansas City, MO this weekend for the Avila Tournament. The Jackets were looking to build on their 3-2 showing last weekend at the McPherson Tournament.
Unfortunately for the Jackets, it didn't go quite as well as they would have liked. They lost the first four games of the tournament before beating Calumet College (Indiana) in the final game 18-1.
Graceland opened with Harris Stowe College and a 3-1 loss. Later Friday afternoon they faced Rogers State University who defeated them 11-1. Friday's final game the Jackets faced University of Saint Mary's and were defeated 7-5. Sunday before beating Calumet, Graceland lost to McKendree College 5-1.
The Jackets will open at home on their newly renovated field this Wednesday at 2pm in a double header against Missouri Valley College. Stay tuned to the Jacket athletics website for continuing coverage of the softball team and all of Jacket athletics.
